Detoxify, Decrease Stress and Relax

The mind has a large role in influencing our immunity system and empowering us to recover from cancer. Understanding the energetics of cancer can help us target visualization activities for greater effectiveness in increasing our immunity strength and decreasing toxicity that results from cancerous cells, medications, and treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation.

In the Chinese medicine system, cancer is said to have a hot nature. Interestingly, when we struggle or face stressful challenges, that is also said to create heat-emotional heat. So, when a person is diagnosed with cancer, they are dealing with both physical and emotional heat.

As a result, cooling visualizations can help the body regain energetic equilibrium to facilitate greater healing of the internal organs and rejuvenation on a cellular level.

To begin this visualization, inhale slowly for a count of five. Exhale slowly for a count of five. Repeat this pattern of breathing three more times. Now, breathe naturally yet deeply.

Visualize cool light energy, like a refreshing waterfall, flowing over your head, down your neck and flooding and cooling the lungs, the heart, the liver and gallbladder (under the right side of the rib cage), the spleen stomach (under the left side of the rib cage), the kidneys (in the lower back), and the reproductive organs.

Linger over any areas that may have tumors and imagine the waterfall melting the tumor cells and cleansing the tissue.

Continue visualizing this cool light energy as a waterfall flowing down the legs and out the feet as it washes away all heat, all wory, all anxiety and all fears.

End the visualization with inhaling slowly for a count of five and exhaling for a count of five.

This visualization can also be used by family members of individuals, who are facing cancer, to relax, soothe and reduce stress.
